Greetings & welcome to the home page of the Magdalen Community Association, or MCA. The MCA were established in 2001 (see ‘About us’ page for further details) to represent the interests of all living, working or otherwise having an interest in the Magdalen Estate, and to promote growth and change in the Neighbourhood.
This site aims to be the portal for local tenants and residents, voluntary and community groups and other interested parties to liaise and find out information about what’s happening in the local community. By clicking on the tabs on the left of the page you can find useful information and contacts, Local news and events, ‘Whose Who’ in the community and a photo gallery of MCA events etc. such as the Mad Mag Day & St. Nicholas festivals.
The site also has links to other Community based organisations, a history of the MCA and community work on ‘the Mag’. There is also a ‘guestbook’ for visitors to the site to sign so they can make themselves known to us and a ‘forum’ page for you to express your views & comments on Community work on the estate & I would encourage you to bring your issues to the table through the forum in the hope of promoting some lively & constructive discussion. You can also find out about how you can join the association and help to make a big difference to the Community.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us and if you’ve read this far, I hope that this might inspire you to come on board and see what a difference a few committed individuals can make to improve the quality of life for the whole community. Thank you.
The Magdalen Community Association (MCA) are supported by The Norfolk Community Foundation, ‘Grassroots grants’ fund, Voluntary Norfolk, & Community Connections.
